LG unveils energy efficient 22-inch Flatron LCD LG has toiled into the night for months but it has now managed to make one of the most penguin-loving (read eco-friendly) widescreen LCDs ever, the Flatron W2252TE. The new 22-inch monitor is very energy efficient, consuming just 22 Watts, some 45% less than other similar products.The lower power requirements didn't cripple the W2252TE's specs though as it offers a maximum resolution of 1680x1050 pixels, a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, a brightness of 250cd/m2 and a response time of 2 ms. While LG hasn't disclosed the Flatron W2252TE's price it did say it will start hitting the stores in August.
